Concept:
These inserts feature cutting threads that form mating threads during installation, eliminating pre-tapping. Ideal for aluminum, magnesium, fiberglass, and thermoplastics where traditional threading fails.
Installation Method:
☆ Drill Only: Create straight hole (no tapping!).
☆ Drive Insert: Install with hex driver or power tool.
☆ Form Threads: Self-tapping flutes cut material as insert rotates.
☆ Torque Control: Stop at 0.8-1.2 N·m to prevent material damage.
Warning: Never use in hardened steel (>25 HRC).
